Resurrection's Confirmation program is a process designed to fit the needs of your family.

It involves instructional and experiential components that help a child understand what it means to live as a Christian in today's world. Instruction begins as early as the fall of the seventh grade year depending on the child's level of understanding and self-discipline. The Rite of Confirmation takes place on either Reformation Sunday in the Fall (the last Sunday in October), or The Day of Pentecost which in 50 days after Easter in the Spring.

Classes meet based on the schedules of the families and the pastor/coordinators. The topics covered in the classes are; The Apostles' Creed, The Lord's Prayer, and The Ten Commandments, The Sacraments and Christian Service. In addition, there will be instruction on other topics that are unique to today's world.

There are student workbooks assigned; there are sermon reflection papers due each month as well as a final reflection paper. Worship attendance and service hours are to be agreed upon.

If you would like to find out more or have your child participate in confirmation, contact the church office at or 310-375-5382.
